Mold under carpet

Over time, moisture from the sliding door caused mold to grow under the carpet and pad.

We removed the affected pad and tack strip and properly disposed of them then surveyed the surrounding area to ensure there was no more damage. We applied antimicrobials throughout the affected area and the carpet was cleaned and sanitized. New pad and tack strips were installed.

When determining if you have a mold problem, be alert for: the presence of visible mold, strong musty odors, evidence of past moisture problems and excessive humidity.
