SERVPRO Helped the River Bandits Clean Flood Damage

This flood season has been rough on the Quad Cities. And you can’t look at the news without seeing some sort of flood coverage. A prominent photo many of you have seen is the Quad City River Bandits Modern Woodman Stadium completely surrounded by water. While the River Bandits were once again able to keep the flood waters from damaging their field, their batting cage area was not so lucky. Flood waters infiltrated this area and left behind large quantities of mud and silt.
Left without a place to practice, the River Bandits called on SERVPRO to make it “Like it never even happened.” SERVPRO reported to the stadium soon after getting the call to access the damage. We found a thick layer of mud left behind on cement surfaces, as well as on the green felt turf in their batting cages. At SERVPRO, we call this type of cleaning a muck-out. Once an assessment was made, we began work immediately. This involved power washing and sanitizing all surfaces in the batting cage area. Although it was a large job, we were able to be in and out within 2 days, allowing the River Bandits to get back to practicing and doing what they do best!
If your business experiences water or fire damage, call SERVPRO to make it “Like it never even happened.”
