Keeping Your Employees Safe

As a business owner, you know how important it is to keep your valued employees safe. Having proper smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, security cameras and other safety equipment is a great place to start. What if there is a tornado though? Do your employees know the safest place to escape to? Or a broken pipe? Do your employees know how to respond? More than having equipment in place, it’s important that your staff is well informed and knows how to respond in an emergency.
We recommend sitting down once a year on your own or with a leadership team to create a list of disasters that could happen and create plans for how you and your employees should respond. Then sit down with your team and review individual roles and responsibilities for different emergency situations. Make sure every new hire is aware of the plans you have in place to keep them safe and gather emergency contact information as a part of your hiring process.
Remember that SERVPRO is always Here to Help®. Let us set up an Emergency Response Plan for your business so you have shutoff and contact information for your business in one location. Should disaster ever strike your business, call us to make it “Like it never even happened.”
