A core value that we hold at SERVPRO is doing good for our community. An important part of that is acknowledging and thanking others who are doing their part to make the Quad Cities and surrounding areas a great place to live. That’s why SERVPRO has partnered with KWQC TV6 to feature a Hometown Hero every month in the Quad Cities!
This month, our hometown hero is Sherry Stauffer, of DeWitt. Sherry has the biggest heart and started an amazing city-wide event in DeWitt, IA, Wear Pink for the Cure. It’s an amazing story of how it started as a hospital luncheon and has grown to a city-wide event. She has an amazing willingness to help others and the community of DeWitt. She has helped bring awareness to Breast Cancer that affects so many people; bringing it out to the open. We are so glad to have Sherry as a part of our community! To thank them for being our hometown hero, we gifted $50 in DeWitt Chamber bucks and donated $100 to Pink for the Cure on her half!
Keep an eye out for our next hometown hero! And if someone you know does great things for the Quad Cities, be sure to nominate them at https://www.kwqc.com/page/hometown-hero/#//
